46 colleagues at Bahia Principe Riviera Maya Resort took part in the training


ServSafe, issued by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF), is considered the most recognised and prestigious food handling certification in the world and offers the following benefits: validation of professional credibility, support in maintaining strict control and knowledge of food handling at work, and the proper implementation of essential food culture and safety practices.

46 of our colleagues from Bahia Principe Riviera Maya Resort accordingly took part in the study group to underpin the implementation of food handling codes and safety at the complex.

The training lasted 16 hours, and covered such topics as Personal Hygiene, Cross Contamination, Time and Temperature, Delivery and Storage, Food Safety Administration System and Employee Training.

The event was attended by representatives of senior management, directors and deputy directors at the complex, executive chefs, food and drink managers, quality control and health staff, who received certificates which are valid for five years from the date of issue.
