National holiday and celebrations at Bahia Principe Jamaica Resort
The colony of Jamaica gained independence from the United Kingdom on 6 August 1962, celebrated as a national holiday in the country to mark Jamaican Independence Day.
Our colleagues decorated the complex with the colours of the national flag (black, green and gold).
Bahia Principe Jamaica Resort was festooned for the day in black, green and gold, the colours of the national flag.
Our colleagues began the day with an event to tell customers a little about the history of Jamaica, which was followed by a parade by the band from the lobby to the swimming pool. The entertainment team taught guests traditional Jamaican games and dances… And in the evening there was a beachside buffet featuring regional dishes. The evening ended with performances at the Bahia Principe Village.
Happy anniversary!
